Relief of Pain
Pain is the most common reason why people attend our
classes. Pilates and Feldenkrais are specially helpful for back
pain, neck pain, shoulder, hip or knee pain, though almost any form
of musculo-skeletal pain will respond. Whether pain is present every
day or just recurs from time to time, it is often related to our
posture and the way in which we move. The good news is that these
things can be changed with movement education and a specifically
targeted therapeutic exercise programme, designed by a Physiotherapist.
Improving Posture
Good posture looks and feels great. It also helps
reduce the risk of injury. Both Clinical Pilates and the Feldenkrais
Method help by improving the alignment of your spine to restore
your natural spinal curves. This can help relieve conditions such
as back pain, neck pain and muscle imbalances.
